Chris started racing at age 30 after attending a Skip Barber school at Laguna Seca. After returning home he bought his first kart and within 3 weeks was on the starting grid at his first race. Chris spent the next four seasons racing in various 100cc and 125cc direct-drive, TAG and shifter classes with Westwood Karting Association and Coastal Kart Racers.

In 2006 Chris moved into formula cars with the acquisition of a Pro Formula Mazda, spending the season in the Russell Pro Series (now the Molecule Formula Mazda Challenge) and competing in 3 Star Mazda Championship events. In 2007 Chris set his sights on the Star Mazda West Coast Championship, which comprised events from the Molecule Formula Mazda Challenge and Star Mazda Championship, and won the title with 5 wins and 5 runner-up results.

2008 saw Chris campaign the entire Star Mazda Championship, winning the Expert Series (for drivers aged 30-44) and finishing 12th overall in points. In 2009, Chris will again campaign the full Star Mazda Championship series in hopes of defending his Expert Series title and scoring some top overall finishes against the ‘kids' in the series.

Longer term, Chris plans to add some closed-wheel endurance racing to his open-wheel schedule, with a near-term goal of competing in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in 2010.

Chris resides in Vancouver, BC, with his wife and two kids.
